Welcome mothers, babies, and all who support them in their parenting journey! Nursing Mothers’ Council is here for you—to provide free breastfeeding support to mothers, training to breastfeeding counselors, and continuing education to health care providers. You can trust Nursing Mothers’ Council to provide evidence-based information and culturally appropriate support to families in their communities.
This is an exciting time for NMC, and we welcome you to be part of it. Our corps of accredited breastfeeding counselors is growing rapidly. You can call any Nursing Mothers’ Counselor for individual breastfeeding help, or visit one of our Nursing Mothers’ Gatherings, where women can share and learn from one another in a setting facilitated by trained counselors. Through our professional workshops, conferences, local chapters, and free telephone support, we are pleased to be part of an ever-strengthening network of volunteers and professionals empowering women during their journey through birth, breastfeeding, and parenthood.
Confident mother, healthy child, strong family, supportive community—that has been NMC’s singular focus for nearly 50 years, and that vision will continue to guide us for the next 50 years, and beyond.
