CURRENT BREASTFEEDING MANAGEMENT
This 4 day training will thoroughly prepare you to counsel breastfeeding women.
It is also an excellent foundation for those ultimately planning to take the
IBLCE certification exam.
NEW AND UPDATED TOPICS INCLUDE:
 anatomy and physiology of the breast; biochemistry of human milk; medications;
getting started and assessment of the breast;
role of the breastfeeding counselor and counseling strategies;
expression and storage of breast milk; slow weight gain;
 common problems; family dynamics; postpartum; adolescents; separation and weaning;
special situations; grief and loss and Baby- Friendly Hospital Initiative.
